Type: Red dry wine.
Grape Variety: 100% Shiraz.
Vineyards: Estate vineyard at Kalo Chorio Orinis.
Harvest: Mid August.
Vinification methods: Classic method for full-bodied red wine, taking full advantage of the Shiraz variety, which has shown great potential in Cyprus. Extensive maceration on the skins and malolactic fermentation performed.
Aging: In French oak barrels (50% new, 50% older) for 14 months and subsequently in the bottle for one year. Ready for immediate consumption, can further develop for the next 3-4 years.
Tasting notes: A full-bodied wine with a bright purple color and a rich and complex
bouquet of spices, ripe plums, chocolate, with hints of oak. A well-balanced wine,
with an intense, but velvety flavor, that leads to a long lasting aftertaste. Good aging potential.
Serving temperature: Best served at 18°C.
Complimentary Flavors: A suitable companion for red meat, game and aged cheese.
